Group Breathwork Journey: Sydney Pop-Up

AU$75

Sunday 19 July | 1:30pm-3:30pm
Held at D-F Studio, Brookvale

We are crossing the waters from New Zealand and spending a month traveling through Sydney! While we’re here, we’ve decided to offer a few pop-up breathwork journeys to our cousins overseas. This particular event is for the Northern beaches community, but keep an eye out as we are also planning an event out East and a 4-week-series in the South before we head home.

We’ve designed this as a potent, high-impact 2-hour session. We will be keeping the talking brief and bypassing long introductions so we can jump straight into the journey, maximizing your time in the medicine of your own breath.

If we haven’t met yet, we are a husband-and-wife team and certified Owaken Breathwork facilitators. Because we facilitate together, you'll always have both of us in the room assisting and holding down a deeply supportive, grounded container. We are incredibly excited to bring this potent work to a new community and can't wait to breathe with you!

What is the style of breathwork?

We practice Conscious Connected Breathwork. This is an active, continuous breathing technique that helps bypass the analytical mind and tap into the body's nervous system. It is one of the most effective ways to get stuck energy into motion, allowing you to process suppressed emotions, gain deep clarity, and let fresh possibilities emerge.

The ultimate goal is for you to feel empowered through your own connection to your breath and the innate healing intelligence in your own body.

Think of this session as a sacred, fast-acting opportunity for meaningful shifts to happen. It is a space to heal past wounds, ignite your inner power, let go of frustration, surrender into grief, and find genuine peace.

We absolutely respect this work and can’t wait to share the space with a new community.

What to bring?

  • Wear comfortable clothing and warm socks

  • Water bottle

  • Pillow for your head

  • Journal and pen

  • Any extra layers to make you comfortable - We will set up the space with mats and blankets

  • Optional to bring your own eye mask or use the studio’s eye masks. Please wear minimal or no eye makeup to help us keep them clean.

Is Breathwork for me?

This journey is open to everyone. If you have never tried Breathwork before, this high-impact container is a powerful way to start while being held by two facilitators in a safe, deeply supportive environment. If you are an experienced breather, this is your chance to drop in deep, refine your practice, and experience the potent group synergy of an Owaken-guided space.

A quick note on the group environment:

Because we are breathing in a group, people around you might cry, laugh, or yell as emotions start to move. We will have music playing throughout the journey, which helps soften the ambient noise of the room. That said, if you are particularly sensitive to sound, we highly recommend bringing a pair of earplugs (the Loop brand works wonderfully for this).

Who is this NOT suitable for?

We want everyone attending to have a safe and beneficial experience, so let’s make sure that Breathwork is suitable for you before you purchase a ticket.

There are some contraindications to activated Breathwork. If any of the following applies to you, an activated Breathwork Journey may not be advisable for you, a 1:1 session might be more suitable, or it might be that we just need awareness around your specific needs.

Please consult a doctor if you are not sure, or email us at connect@thespacewithin.co.nz
